Project Rebirth by Daniel Libeskind

in Video 979 views

Daniel Libeskind, architect of the Jewish Museum in Berlin speaks about the thoughtful process he went through in designing the museum that would be a mark in Germany’s Holocaust history in which Adolf Hitler is known to have ordered a massacre of over 6 million Jews. With such a sad part of history in Germany‘s existence, Libeskind explains that the museum is about emotion. From every corner, entry point and exit, it serves to evoke a certain type of response from its visitors.

In addition, he speaks about the Ground Zero project where he says his design was really about people. Every aspect of the project, he explains, is about how human beings interact with the space.
