16 Feb ArchiCulture: A Short Film on the Architectural Studio by Arbuckle Industries
Each year, thousands of students enrol in architecture programs across the world. These students will eventually design the spaces in which we work and live. Today more than ever, there is a spirited debate in the industry on how to educate these future architects; in order to help them solve the problems of tomorrow with the design tools of today.
ArchiCulture takes a thoughtful, yet critical look at the architectural studio. The 25-minute film offers a unique glimpse into the world of studio-based, design education through the eyes of a group of students finishing their final design projects. Interviews with leading professionals, historians and educators help create crucial dialogue around the key issues faced by this unique teaching methodology and the built environment these future architects will create.
