Job Overview

CKA Architects is a high-end residential design firm located in Menlo Park.  Our company specializes in custom homes and small multi-family projects. Our firm is committed to excellence in design from beginning to end, and we take great pride in every project.  CKA is seeking an energetic junior to mid-level architectural designer/draftsperson who can assemble residential construction documents from start to finish.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years experience in an architectural office environment
• Strong design skills
• Professional background in residential and / or interior design
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Competency in 3-D modelling
• Competency in CAD drafting
• A basic understanding of wood-frame construction is a plus

Responsibilities

• Working with team members on all phases of projects, from Schematic Design to Construction Administration
• Involvement in many facets of a design and construction project
• Interaction with consultants and clients
• Collaborative design of challenging projects
• Coordination with local Planning and Building Departments
• Coordination of drawing packages
• Creation of presentation materials including 3D modeling and animation work
