Qualifications

Ideal candidates for the Designer position hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design and three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture or similar within the real estate industry. The position requires effective design drawing knowledge with an effective ability to review and redline drawings and proficiency with construction document/shop drawing reviews and construction administration. Effective communication (verbal and written), professional presentation, interpersonal, administrative, technical problem-solving, and architectural and interior technical skills with a high attention to detail are required. The ideal candidate possesses an effective ability to work independently and within a team and the successful ability to take initiative, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam and/or Acrobat, and Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Revit is required. Knowledge of general workflow and processes for construction and design, strong FFE experience, proficient 3D Modeling and the effective ability to present recommendations and interact with senior management are desired.

Responsibilities

The Designer strategically collaborates with both cross-functional teams and external consultants/vendors to realize project goals; performs thorough reviews of design drawings and submissions to include the viability of design intent; ensures design compliance and integrity; and provides feedback regarding design, FFE, and floor plan layouts to the interior design team. The position oversees punch list review and FFE and art programs; conducts product research and sample procurement; and performs AutoCad drafting tasks and 3D modeling. The Designer further assists with the selection of the design team for any given project, design of interiors, facilitation of the interior design process, management and coordination of the design process for various projects, consultation for bidder de-scope for applicable interior-related trades, construction administration process; and the submittal, RFI, and SK process. The Designer further collaborates with the Marketing Team to create marketing materials for projects and performs other duties as assigned. This position requires working at both office locations and active construction sites.
