Job Overview
As an Interior Design Support at GTC, you will be a vital part of our design team, providing administrative and creative assistance throughout the design process. You will collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, vendors, and clients to ensure the successful execution of projects. If you’re passionate about interior design, have a keen eye for details, are extremely organized, and are highly motivated, we want to hear from you!
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in interior design support or a similar role.
- Strong passion for interior design and an eye for aesthetics.
- Familiarity with design software such as SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Monday.com is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented and thorough in managing project-related documents and information.
- A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Assist designers in creating and organizing design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials.
- Source and research furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes, adhering to the project’s design vision.
- Maintain a well-organized design library, including samples, catalogs, and reference materials.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to request quotes, samples, and product information.
- Assist in the preparation of design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Help maintain project schedules, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Manage administrative tasks, including filing, document organization, and scheduling meetings.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, designers, and contractors, facilitating communication and addressing inquiries.
- Prepare purchase orders, track orders, and follow up on deliveries to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Assist with on-site project installations, including supervising and documenting progress.
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, emerging materials, and innovative interior design technologies
