Job Overview

Chris Foley Architects is hiring a Part 1 or recent Part 2 graduate to join its small team in Hackney, London.

We work across a range of scales, from small parts of the city to speculative housing developments, new houses, and smaller domestic interventions. We enjoy the craft of making and seek to build projects that stand the test of time. We strive to create elegant, efficient architecture, carefully considering each intervention to draw out the maximum value and beauty whilst minimising our impact on the planet.

We are looking for someone with sensitive creativity who is able to interrogate and address a brief and present ideas with skill and articulation.

With experience, you will be involved in all project stages, from brief development through to construction and handover on the full range of projects. The variety of project types, planning, and technical requirements and the onsite experience within the practice offer an excellent opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the practicalities of architecture, building, and building contracts.

Qualifications

• Strong graphic sensibilities
• Photoshop/Lightroom rendering and photograph editing
• 3D modelling and rendering skills
• Physical model making
• Experience in Vectorworks would be ideal but not essential
• An eagerness to be proactive, interrogate design challenges, and problem solve
• The right to work in the UK is essential
