Job Overview
Coppa Montalbano Architects is located in Totowa, New Jersey with its origins dating back to 1956. We are a design-oriented full-service architectural, planning, and interior design firm focusing on both public and private projects primarily in the northern New Jersey area. Our firm’s philosophy is a positive collaborative work atmosphere that foresters good design and personal service to our clients. Our diversity in project types provides our firm exposure across several sectors of the industry, giving opportunity for experience in new endeavors on a daily basis.
We are currently seeking both Entry Level and Intermediate Level candidates to work on both smaller and larger projects. We are looking for people who are self-driven, who are looking to learn, and capable of collaborating with our team. Intermediate Level candidates should have design and construction experience with a diverse range of projects, from school renovations /additions, corporate interiors, and justice complexes to midsize single and multi-family residential.
Qualifications
Entry Level Skill and Requirements:
- General understanding of MEP/FP systems and their integration.
- The latest version of AutoCAD drafting skills.
- Knowledge of REVIT is a plus.
- Knowledge of Sketchup is a plus.
- Ability for preparation of design and graphic presentations.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently with flexibility to perform a variety of tasks.
- Experience with the NJ Department of Education and LRFP submission process is a plus.
- Experience with HUD documents and submission process a plus.
- Minimum Bachelors of Architecture degree preferred.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Intermediate Level Skill and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 plus years of work experience in all project phases from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Experience in construction document preparation and detailing for both renovations of older buildings and new construction.
- Ability to manage drawing production with the drafting team.
- Understanding of MEP/FP systems and their integration.
- The latest version of AutoCAD drafting skills.
- Knowledge of REVIT is a plus.
- Knowledge of Sketchup.
- Preparation of design and graphic presentations.
- Knowledge of NJUCC building codes.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently with flexibility to perform a variety of tasks.
- Experience with the NJ Department of Education and LRFP submission process is a plus.
- Experience with HUD documents and submission process a plus.
- Registered Architect License Preferred.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
