Wardell Stephen Curry II, aka Steph Curry, is an American professional basketball player who’s part of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has won four NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors as a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP). He’s also an eight-time All-NBA selection and eight-time NBA All-Star.

Stephen Curry was born in Akron, Ohio, to Sonya, a former national-level volleyball player, and Dell Curry, a former NBA player. He’s also the older brother of Seth Curry, a current NBA player as well.

Steph Curry is married to Ayesha Curry, and they have three children together.

Stephen Curry’s net worth stands at $170 million; as one of the highest-paid NBA players with an annual salary and endorsements from major brands such as Nike and Under Armour.

Steph Curry’s Real Estate Portfolio

Steph and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have owned and sold several private residences over the years. For example, Stephen Curry sold a 10,000-square-foot home in Alamo, California, for $6.3 million, back in 2019; a 7,500-square-foot home in Walnut Creek for $3 million back in 2016; and his 7,650-square-foot North Carolina starter home for $1.21 million in 2019.

Presently, Steph Curry and Ayesha also own a $31 million mansion in Atherton, California, which they bought in 2019. This place also serves as the main residence of the Curry family.

They also have a $50 million mansion in Malibu, which they bought in November 2021. Stephen Curry also owns a 4,242 square-foot vacation home in Winter Park, Florida, which he bought for $2.1 million in 2022.

1. Steph Curry’s Atherton Mansion, California

In June 2019, Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha quietly purchased a three-story mansion on a cul de sac, in Atherton, California, for $31 million. Understandably, this was the most expensive real estate purchase that year in Atherton and the entire Bay area.

The three-story mansion sits on a 1.2-acre lot in a heavily gated and affluent community and was never formally listed on the open market— but Steph clearly made it happen. They bought this newly-constructed mansion from Atherton’s real-estate developer, Joe Comartin.

Atherton might not be one of the most popular cities, but it tops as one of the wealthiest in the US. This mansion costs the NBA star approximately $292,860 in annual property taxes.

Curry’s neighborhood in the Bay area also houses many multimillionaires and some of the most affluent.

His neighbors include his boss, the owner of Warriors club, Joe Lacob, and WhatsApp’s billionaire, Jan Koum, whose $70m+ mega-estate is just two doors away. Additionally, Dave Dollinger, the real estate developer, lives next door, while Liu Qiangdong, the Chinese billionaire, lives behind Curry’s mansion.

By design, this extremely private mansion in the San Francisco Bay Area community has a lot of greenery surrounding it, which makes it impossible to view from the road. Green Studio, a team of eco-friendly sustainability experts, was part of the team that helped create this lush green space, which also features a lot of native flora.

Furthermore, the home sits on a 1.2-acre lot, which is protected by heavy security at the gate. With this level of privacy, we can see why the property is ideal for the Curry family to raise their kids.

Steph Curry’s Atherton mansion combines contemporary and traditional architectural styles with transitional features such as numerous terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The 1.2-acre property also comprises a lovely swimming pool deck with a poolside cabana, extensive patio, formal gardens, a three-car detached garage, and a relatively small guest house far back.

The Golden State Warriors point guard’s home comes in an irregular shape but is ‘desirably flat.’ This feature makes it barely visible from the road, further contributing to the much-needed privacy.

Additional noteworthy amenities include a fireplace and built-in barbecue area that are ideal for outdoor family cookouts, making the house homier.

Let’s take a tour of the house.

Curry’s mansion maintains the transitional architectural design inside as well. The design elements include neutral color palettes, minimal artwork and accessories, organic textures, and comfortable furniture.

Right next to the garden pool is a semi-outdoor dining area with a cozy fireplace that brings the outdoors inside. The use of modern furniture and natural color palette helps create a timeless look for an informal dining area.

Further into the main house is the main living room, which distinctively features large floor-to-ceiling windows that pour in the outside. It maintains the transitional design with contemporary furniture and natural colors to create a balanced, fresh, inviting space.

The living room also maintains an open plan design connected to a small dining area directly overlooking the garden.

The sitting room connects to a formal dining area. However, the Currys still choose to play around with different textures, gorgeous timeless furniture pieces, and minimal artwork to create a warm yet elevated look.

Due to the level of privacy Stephen Curry has ensured, we are yet to see how the Currys have designed the rest of their house. However, this upmarket $31 million mansion in the San Francisco Bay Area definitely surpasses the luxury home pass mark.

Steph Curry and his entrepreneur wife Ayesha added a vacation house to their property portfolio. They paid $2.1 million for this new pad in Winter Park, Florida, which was originally listed for $400,000 less.

The new 4,200 square-foot house was built in 2015 and sits on a 0.3-acre land. The property is also 15 minutes away from Amway Center, Orlando’s home. But even then, Warriors fans have no cause for alarm. At least the star is tied down to the Golden State Warriors team until 2026, especially after signing his record extension contract.

The 4,242 square foot house accommodates four bedrooms and five bathrooms and still maintains a transitional style similar to Atherton’s mansion.

The house rests on more than a quarter-acre parcel of land in Winter Park. The property accommodates the main house, a shaded spacious brick terrace, an outdoor shower, and two attached garages.

The grassy, well-maintained grounds have PVC fencing that goes all around to create a lush green garden area.

The outdoor covered brick patio is spacious and ideal for an al fresco dining or entertainment experience, where the family enjoys the outdoors despite rain or sunshine.

We were surprised that the residence is missing a pool, a must-have, especially with the Florida heat. However, there’s enough room in the backyard for the Currys to include a small, serviceable pool.

The 4,242-square-foot home houses four bedrooms and five bathrooms spread across more than 390 square feet of living space.

The house maintains a bright transitional interior theme with plenty of natural light that floods through its large floor-to-ceiling windows. The large windows are also a great way to welcome the lovely outdoors inside.

The sitting room has an open floor plan connecting the living area to the kitchen, which overlook the patio and lush green backyard.

Right next to the foyer is a private office space with large floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the side courtyard and front lawn. This office space could also pass for a study area.

Next is an open-plan gourmet kitchen. Ayesha Curry has a distinguished career and loves to cook, so it’s not surprising to learn that the kitchen takes center stage here. Not only is it a great place to whip up a few family meals — but the conversational island offers a cozy seating area.

The gourmet kitchen is fitted with an eat-in island, top-notch Thermador appliances, and a snug breakfast nook that connects to the family room.

The kitchen area also has large windows and sliding glass doors connecting to the lush green outdoors. This is perfect for summertime.

Further into the house is the ultimate primary suite, which operates independently as a unit. All four bedrooms, including the main suite, on Steph Curry’s house, are on the main level of the house.

The master bedroom suite has a stone fire pit in the living area, a wet bar perfect for romantic champagne evenings, a walk-in closet, a luxe bath, and a soaking tub. It also has a private entrance that lets you in and out of the house.

Besides the soaking tub, the primary bedroom has a luxe bathroom and a no-entry shower.

The guest ensuite bedroom also has its own living area, wet bar, and private entrance connected to the two garages attached. These two garages can fully accommodate three cars.

Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have maintained an impressive property portfolio through the years. The homes we just discussed give us a sneak peek at how they live their private lives. Hopefully, this house tour helps you identify home ideas you can pick up on.
